Challenge 348 - Button It Up!

Hi everyone, Brenda here with the next challenge from the Little Red Wagon!  I LOVE buttons and can't wait to see them on your projects this week.  Real buttons, stamped buttons, faux buttons, they'll all work for this challenge.  Here's what I ended up with -

I find this card hilarious!  My love for buttons began a very long time ago when I would dig through my mom's button box.  Later, I started going to estate sales with an eye open for lace and buttons even before my scrapping/card making days.  At this point I have several boxes of buttons.  I'm looking for uses for all my treasures and what do I do?  I make buttons out of paper, dies and Glossy Accents!

I'm looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations.  If you need inspiration, check out what the Girlfriends have to share.  Next Tuesday I'll post my top picks!

Challenge #346 ~ Off We Go!

Hello there.  Welcome to a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  It's Heather and I am your hostess this week.  My theme for you is "OFF WE GO".  I have vacation on my mind (not that I am taking one but it is the season for them) and want to see cards and projects that contain a vacation theme of some kind.

As some of you may know, my grand children live across the country from me and are much too small to be coming to visit on their own yet but I couldn't help but colour up this cute little image on her way to Grandma's for vacation.  I can only dream about it at the moment....

So grab a cup of your favourite beverage, check out what all the other girlfriends have made, leave us some love so we know you visited and come back and link up a vacation themed project of your own. Looking forward to visiting and commenting on what you do.  I will be back next Tuesday with my top picks.

Have a great day.

Hugs, Heather

Challenge #344 - Fit It In!

Hello friends! Welcome to a new challenge here at Little Red Wagon. This week, it is my first time as a Girlfriend to have the pleasure of choosing the challenge and I selected the theme "Fit It In!" - use an inlaid die cut on your project. You are free to use any sort of die that you'd like, but you then need to cut another of the same shape to puzzle piece into the negative space. I hope that makes sense! Perhaps it will after you see my project below.

I used two different sized fishtail dies to create my card. Using black cardstock, I used both the large and the small dies, with the smaller die nested inside the larger one. I then put aside the small piece and kept the large black frame. I then used the small die again, but this time cut out a piece of watercolour paper. Once I had stamped the watercolour paper, I fit it into the black frame so the two die cuts lie flat together. I then adhered things on my cardbase and popped on a little sentiment.

We can't wait to see your inlaid die cut creations and I will be visiting each of you who links up below.  Next Tuesday evening, I'll be back to post my favourites! Be sure to visit the rest of the Girlfriends to see what they've created too!
